Hearts is an engaging card game designed for four players where strategy reigns supreme. The objective is to accumulate the lowest score by ensuring your opponents take the heart cards. Each hand contains a total of 26 points since each heart card is worth 1 point, and there are 13 heart cards in the deck. Additionally, the King of Hearts carries the highest penalty, worth a whopping 13 points. Unlike many other card games, winning means having the least amount of points at the end.
Basic Rules of Hearts
♥️ Card Dealing: Each player is dealt 13 cards. After the deal, players enter the 'card exchange' phase, where they select and pass 3 cards to their opponents. These cards are handed out one by one and go clockwise, changing direction in each round.
♥️ Game Rounds: The game progresses in turns, with each player laying down one card at a time according to the established rules. During the first round, playing heart cards and the King of Hearts is forbidden. When a player plays a card, opponents follow by playing their cards and the highest card wins that round.
♥️ Special Rule: According to the 'Shotgun' rule, if a player collects all heart cards, all players must give them -26 points.
