Thick, pale ice will carry your rig without complaint, but darker ice with glowing cracks has worn thin. Push the throttle too hard on that surface and it gives way under your truck, ending the haul on the spot.

Jobs and Cargo Types

Every run starts at the job board. You can deliver supplies to a mining site, manage a fuel tanker whose load surges forward every time you hit the brakes, or haul long pipe bundles that demand wide, careful turns. Explosive cargo rewards a gentle touch, while rescue missions have you hooking up a stranded pickup and towing it all the way back to camp. Each load turns the same ice road into a completely different drive.

Surviving the Ice Road

You won't have the lake to yourself. When rolling in a convoy, keep a safe gap to the truck ahead and steer clear of spots where the ice has opened into water. Slow down at pressure ridges, where sheets of ice have pushed up against each other. Keep an eye on the ice stress meter and you'll learn to sense when the surface will hold and when it's about to fail. The weather keeps shifting too: blizzards cut your visibility, and rising temperatures can turn yesterday's safe route into today's gamble.
